January 2012 Meetup Pictures

We had a fantastic turnout for our first meetup of 2013 and some great suggestions for future events which we will be implementing from February onwards.

First off a big thanks to Campaign Monitor for sponsoring our event and providing the tea, coffee and pizza which Yorks Bakery Cafe delivered to their usual superb standard.

December 2012 Meetup: 13th, 6:30-9pm, Yorks Bakery Cafe

December’s Birmingham WordPress Meetup takes place on Thursday, December 13 from 6.30pm at  Yorks Bakery Cafe, 1-3 Newhall Street, Birmingham, B3 3NH (@YorksBakeryCafe).

If you fancy coming along, let us know at our Meetup page.

The meetup is organised by Daniel NewnsAndy Yates and Nathan Roberts.  We have a variety of members ranging from people who “what to find out what this WordPress thing is”, to people who run WordPress based websites, to people who design and build sites for their clients all day every day.

We will be having a show and tell session from 7:15.  So if you run a WordPress website you’d like to show off or have been working on a plugin and would like to do a 10-15 minute session on how you use WordPress we’d love to hear from you.  This is open to anyone attending, no matter what your skill level is with WordPress.

Pizza Time

We also encourage using the meetup as an open forum.  If you’re having a problem with your site bring your laptop along as it’s a great place to get some help from people who use WordPress day in day out – and we promise they won’t get too technical (because if they do they know they wont get any pizza, which was kindly provided by our sponsor Campaign Monitor at our November meetup).

If you have any suggestions for improving the meetup please comment here or tweet us @WPBhamUK.

November 2012 Meetup: 8th, 6:30-9pm, Yorks Bakery Cafe

Novembers’ Birmingham WordPress Meetup takes place on Thursday, November 8th from 6.30pm to 9pm at  Yorks Bakery Cafe, 1-3 Newhall Street, Birmingham, B3 3NH (@YorksBakeryCafe).

We’ve moved the lanyard account over to meetup.com so pop on over and RSVP.

We’re looking forward to the first meetup in our new home and sampling the pizza as well.

If you have any topics you would like to discuss on the night send us a tweet @WPBhamUK.

We look forward to seeing some new faces, so come along to discover how WordPress can benefit you or your organisation, and get specific advice on any WordPress questions you have.
